ADJECTIVE
(Pang-uri)
In English, there is the POSITIVE, COMPARITIVE, and SUPERLATIVE. So there is in the Filipino language. I'm just sorry for I forgot what it's called in Filipino.
A. POSITIVE
Just say the root word and that's all (You can find tranlsation of Adjectives in the Vocabulary Section. Go there by clicking it at the lower menu).
B. COMPARATIVE ~ one thing is better than the other (For comparing 2 nouns only)
We add words to adjectives. Here are the words placed before the postive adjective to make it better than the other:
Added word
Example Eng. Translation mas-
higit na
labis namas maayos
higit na maganda
labis na magalangmore orderly
more beautiful
more polite
C. SUPERLATIVE ~ one thing is better than the rest (For comparing 3 or more nouns)
We only add pinaka- to indicate that this one is the best.
Example:
Pinakamalinis ang silid-aralang ito.
This is the cleanest classroom.
