Alibata is the ancient Filipino alphabet used by our ancestors. The characters may symbolize a single letter, or a syllable.

The picture may look a little bit confusing. Let me explain. In the alibata, there are different symbols to be added. If you want the character to sound with an "a", leave it alone. If you want the character to sound with an "e" or an "i", simply add a dot above the character. If you want it to sound with an "o" or "u", add a dot below the character. If you do not want any vowel sounds, just add a plus sign below it.

How about sentences? Like the present Filipino language or English language, there should be spaces in between words. To end a sentence, add a big "X" at the last word of the sentence. Also, you don't need to capitalize the characters. They should have the same sizes.
