Alab ng puso sa dibdib mo'y buhay
Lupang hinirang duyan ka ng magiting
Sa manlulupig di ka pasisiil
Sa dagat at bundok sa simoy at sa langit mong bughaw
May dilag ang tula at awit sa paglayang minamahal
Ang kislap ng watawat mo'y tagumpay na nagnininging
Ang butuin at araw niya kailan pa ma'y di magdidilim

Lupa ng araw, ng luwalhati't pagsinta
Buhay ay langit sa piling mo
Aming ligaya na pag may mang-aapi
Ang mamatay ng dahil sa 'yo

TRANSLATION

_____The Philippine National Anthem "Lupang Hinirang" was composed by Julian Felipe during the Spanish Era. It was then translated to different languages. It was first translated to Spanish by Jose Palma. Next, it was translated to English by Osias and Lane, Paz-Marquez-Benitez as "Child of the Sun Returning" and "Child of the Sunny Orient".

_____"Lupang Hinirang" has a time signature or 2/4 or 4/4. It was first played in Kawit, Cavite in June 12, 1898 during the first waving of the Philippine flag. It was first played by the band "San Francisco De Malabon" and sung by "Independencia". It's first titles were: Marcha Filipina, Marcha Magdalo, Marcha Nacional Filipina.
