PRONOUN
(Panghalip)

What are pronouns? Pronouns is a part of speech that substitues the noun. Without the help of pronouns, paragraphs would sound ridiculous. Here is an example:

My name is Aileen. Aileen is a Filipina and born here. Aileen is born in August.
(Ako si Aileen. Si Aileen ay isang Pilipina at dito ipinanganak. Si Aileen ay ipinanganak sa buwan ng Agosto.)

See? It sound ugly don't you think? Here is the outcome the short statement you've read recently if we use pronouns:

My name is Aileen. I'm a Filipina and born here. I am born in August.
(Ako si Aileen. Ako'y Pilipina at dito ipinanganak. Ako ay ipinanganak sa buwan ng Agosto.)

So, the work of pronouns are to substitute nouns, make it sound right and make statements shorter too.

In this section, the translation of the pronouns and its pluralization are indicated. Possesive Pronouns are also included.
