RICE, BEANS, SPICES AND

Indonesia as a huge archipelago surrounded by eight seas and two oceans. With the width of six million square kilometers of land and sea and lays right on the equator give no wonder the rich of natural tropical plants including spices.  Indonesia has around 13,000 islands big and small, Bali as one of the small island has an area of 5,620 square kilometers also enriches with that kind of plants.

From day to day lives Balinese always make an offering for their deities. They decorated and filled the offerings with agricultural products.  Women poured all their artistic talents into preparation for those occasions. This convergence of beauty and ritual explains why the arts have endured to such a great extent and well maintain there in Bali all  the times. A virtue of Balinese craft is that a retains its own distinctive character as people will be extremely proud of their creative traditions, yet they are also progressive and always catches a new idea for their fancy and accept it wholeheartedly.  Now the present art  has two goals, one is work for art will be praiseworthy in the eyes of fellow Balinese, or (two) it appeals to the foreign market and sold, and supported their lives. 

These unique and sophisticate cloves design boxes and bowls were made of single flower bud which stick one by one then rows into its shape.

These natural design bags were made from fragrant root (vetiveria zizanoiides) and  threads,  then dyeing them and binding with a pattern using hand weaved system.
