1967
This 1967 Mustang was purchased in 1986 from an owner in Grosse Ile, Michigan. That winter it was stripped to bare metal and restored to "mostly" original.
The car was a daily driver except for winters...for the most part. In the summer of 1989 I was washing the car a noticed quite a few rust bubbles. That day I went out and bought the goodies I needed to strip it again. Improper metal prep from the resto back in 1986 and the harsh winter salt started to take its toll. The car was stripped, metal prepped, primered with PPG Epoxy Primer and then the car sat in a garage from 1989 until 2002. In 1993 I joined the military and was unable to get the time to restore the car properly.....until now.
