Dear Haruka-san,
You do not know me. To you I am but another face in the crowd of spectators watching you race. To you I am no different that the many girls who wish for your attention. But I know you. You are the wind, the sky. It is hard to believe your name is pure coincidence, King of the Distant Heavens. You personify the wind. You who have such a hold on me, yet you do not notice. I would give anything to ride in your car alongside you. To be with you.
You do not know me. However, if you do wish to meet the one whose heart aches to be with you, you need only ask. You do not need to keep running away from everything Tenoh Haruka-san.
Signed,
Poseidon

"Now if I only dared to send it." Muttered the author of the letter. As she worked up her nerve, she felt a hand touch her shoulder. She spun around and came face to face with the very one she was meaning to send her letter to. She gasped and blushed.

Haruka smiled "Konnichiwa. Kaioh Michiru-san ne?" Michiru stammered her reply and wished she could become small enough to hide in her purse "H- hai"
"Come to cheer for your friend again?"
Michiru took the provided excuse "Hai" as she spoke she tried with shaking fingers to fold the letter up and hide it.
Haruka caught the movement and snatched up the letter "Nani kore? Who’s the letter to?"
"Uh...sumimasen, could I have it back?" Michiru tried meekly to snatch the letter back and failed as Haruka moved just in time, keeping the letter out of her reach. "Hang on, I just want to see what it’s about."
As Haruka read the letter Michiru desperately tried to think up some sort of explanation and once again wished that she could just crawl up and hide somewhere until Haruka went away.

Haruka’s expression went cold. She looked at Michiru, who held her eyes downcast.

Michiru expected a rebuke of some sort. How would Haruka react? Then it came. A backhanded strike to the face. Michiru’s face went numb from the force of the blow. She stared up at Haruka in shock. Haruka’s eye’s blazed "how dare you Kaioh-san. To think you have even the smallest chance with me." With that Haruka stormed back to the track. Michiru opened an eye and saw where the racer was headed. To The center of the field where a stand with a microphone on it stood for the announcer. Haruka walked up onto the stand, grabbed the mic and spoke into it. "Ladies and Gentlemen, may I direct your attention to Kaioh Michiru-san. There is something you should know about this somewhat famous violinist. Michiru-san?"

Michiru was too shocked to say anything

"Michiru...."

Blood ran down her nose from Haruka’s blow, and tears came to her eyes.

"Michiru..."

She let the tears run freely

"Michiru...."

* * *

"....Michiru....Michiru? Michiru!"
The aqua-haired girl in question snapped her eyes open with a sharp intake of breath, and before she could figure out where she was, she found herself enveloped in strong arms. "Michiru, we’ve been trying to wake you up for an hour! You were crying.... what happened?"

Michiru took some time to orient herself to her surroundings "I...Wh..." She was in bed. Haruka was holding her; Setsuna was sitting at the edge of the bed looking very worried with Hotaru in her lap, looking just as worried. Wait. Haruka was holding her?

"Oh, It was just a dream!" Michiru wrapped her arms tightly around Haruka and buried her face in her beloved’s chest. She breathed in her lover’s scent and felt her heartbeat, her rhythmic breathing. Yes, she was really there. It had been a dream. She felt her Haru-chan gently rub her back "Daijoubu Michi-ko. Daijoubu. I’m here."
Michiru mumbled into Haruka's nightshirt. "What?" Haruka strained her ears to hear Michiru.

"Hai...my Haru-chan is here with me. It’s not the way it might have been..."

Setsuna and Hotaru quietly escorted themselves out of the room.

Haruka gently placed a hand under Michiru’s chin and tilted her face up to see hers "Michi-ko...what happened in your dream? Do you want to talk about it?"

Michiru shook her head very lightly "Iie. I’m alright now."

Haruka smiled, confident that her Michi-ko would tell her what happened in the dream when she was ready to "Well then, are you hungry?"

Michiru came fully awake at that "Hungry? But it’s so early in the mourning. Shouldn’t we try to get some more sleep?" Haruka chuckled "early? It’s eleven O’clock. You slept in late my little mermaid."

"I did?" Michiru’s stomach gurgled, giving its comments on how it felt about missing breakfast. Michiru blushed and Haruka smiled. Her Michi-ko was so cute at times. "Come on, let’s go get something to eat."
Michiru nodded and began to get out of bed. Her mind went back to the dream. What did it mean? It had been too real to simply toss aside hadn’t it?
