Two shall be born to the Moon,

The first a child of Mars to be raised as such,

The second the true daughter of the Moon,

Both must grow not knowing the truth.

When the truth of what is,

Is told to the two the true darkness will have fallen,

The moment of truth will save both,

True daughters of the moon.

The truth will bring bonds closer,

Lives will grow dearer,

But the darkness will grow,

And possibly drowned both if the truth is known.

- Ceriius' Prophecy

-Cassandra Bradford

A lone woman walked through the arched hallways of the moon palace. The woman was fairly tall with long flowing hair as white as the purest snow. She wore a white loose fitting dress as the woman was rather pregnant, but she was also rather young appearing to be only in her early 20s. Her hair was put up in two perfectly formed white balls of hair with extremely long ponytails trailing down to near her ankles. The woman paused in her walk and looked up, staring at the fiery red planet that is Mars in the distance. She placed a hand on her stomach and felt the child within her kick in response. She sighed and headed toward the center of the Moon Palace, across the gentle, smooth, silver marble floor. To the Prayer Room where she would consult with the Prophet Ceriius. Surely he could ease the worries she had been feeling lately about this pregnancy, it was her first but she couldn't help but feel that she was going to loose this child.

A man sat in front of the Crystal Tower, the Moon Kingdom's column of prayer. He appeared to only be around 30 but in truth he was much, much older. His hair was pure white and clung to his head in an extremely short cut. He wore silvery robes of the prophet of the Moon Kingdom. Small silver moon crescents were embroidered on the cuffs of his robes and along the trim. He sat there motionless, his hands folded in prayer. "I see you have come my Queen." He said softly but made no move from his spot.

"I have Ceriius. I come to inquire of the future of this child I hold within me. I..." Ceriius looked up and smiled kindly as the woman moved around the tower to stand before him. He looked at her bulging belly signifying that the child's birth was near. He let out a soft sigh and spoke again, softly and yet with a small hint of regret.

"You are afraid you will loose the child within you and rightly so Serenity. Though you will not loose the child in death, as you so fear. No the child you carry within you is the daughter of Mars. When she is born you must hand her over to her rightful planet where she will be raised in the beliefs of Mars. Do not fear you will have a second daughter who will be the true daughter of the moon. She will you raise as your heir. Though destruction will come, beware the Earth for the terror will come from there in the distant future. Neither child must know the truth of the daughter of Mars' birth. They will find out in time and a greater darkness will fall long after the two of us are gone. None must know the truth but you and Mars. King Endhalus may also know for he will learn when the daughter of Mars is born. But none else must know of the truth of her birth." This finished Ceriius lowered his eyes. "I am sorry my Queen but that is what the One tells me." Serenity nodded and sighed.

"Thank you Ceriius, The One tells you what we need to know and lets us know only that. Thank you again my friend." Ceriius nodded and looked up at Serenity once more.

"All will become clear when the time is right, neither before or after." With that he turned back to the Tower to continue his prayers. Serenity walked back around Ceriius and the Crystal Tower carefully and walked out of the prayer room. She placed a hand on her stomach and felt a slight warmth greet her touch. She smiled with satisfaction that the child would indeed live and things would not be as they were if they were not needed to be as such. Serenity walked to her study, down the silver paths, through the gardens. She entered the room slowly and with grace. She went around the white marble desk and sat in the chair behind it. She pulled out a sheet of paper and picked up her pen. She dipped the pen in the silver inkwell that served for all official royal documents. She scribbled down a note to Aries and Talana, the King and Queen of Mars. This done she folded the paper and placed it in an envelope and sealed it with the royal seal of a crescent moon over a flame, the flame had a crown symbol above it. This signified that this was from the Royals of the Moon to the King and Queen of Mars and that only they were to read this message. That done she called one of her guardians in.

A fairly young woman walked in, she looked no more than 15. She had long silky black hair that was tied into four buns on her head similar to those of the Queen. The rest of her hair flowed down past her mid-back. The woman had brilliant blues eyes that held a deep kindness within them. She wore a simple white dress that accented her features. Serenity looked up. "Luna, you are the only one I can trust with this. Will you take this letter to King Aries? It is for Talana and his eyes alone. No one, not even you may see the contents of this letter. It is important that the message contains remains secret. Do you understand?"

The woman, Luna, blinked. ‘What is going on? What is so important about that letter that even I, the Queen’s most trusted advisor, guardian, and friend am not allowed to see?’ Luna took the envelope offered to her by Serenity and bowed. "I understand my Queen." She responded formally, when the Queen was formal it was important so Luna knew she had to remain detached and formal as far as the letter was concerned. She knew that someday she would learn the truth of the message she carried. "I shall deliver the letter immediately." Luna turned to go when the Queen’s voice stopped her and cause her to turn back around.

"You are my most loyal and faithful friend Luna, you know that if I could tell you I would."

"I know Serenity." Luna said softly, then she turned and walked out of the room. Serenity sighed and laid her head on the desk. The weight of what she just did becoming to great for her to bear. She folded her arms under her head and cried.

‘You should be happy Serenity, the child will live.’ She told herself, but this thought could not calm her as she wailed back in her mind. ‘But why do I have to loose her? She’s mine! Mine! My flesh, my blood, my pain. I should be allowed to keep her. She’s MINE!’ A sob tore from her throat as King Endhalus walked past her study. He stopped in mid-step and backtracked, then he glanced into his wife’s study. Endhalus stepped up behind his wife and gently laid a hand on her shoulder. He spoke to her softly.

"What’s wrong love?" Serenity lifted her head and turned toward her husband, she clung to him and he sunk down to his knees to be on the same level she was. Serenity fell out of her chair and into his loving embrace. She clasped the cloth of his silver tuxedo jacket in her hands and wept against him. Endhalus just held his Queen. Telling her everything was going to be all right.

"No it won’t…I’m going to loose my daughter!" Serenity wailed. Endhalus’s heart stopped momentarily and he stared down at his wife.

"What do you mean we are going to loose our daughter? Serenity, what’s wrong?" Serenity grabbed one of Endhalus’s hands and placed it on her stomach. The King jerked his hand back at the heat he felt through Serenity’s gown. "What does this mean? Serenity, love, I do not understand." Serenity sighed and lay her head on his shoulder.

"I went to see Ceriius, I felt something was wrong with the child. She is not a daughter of the moon." Endhalus’s eyes widened and he looked into his wife’s eyes.

"What do you mean she is not a daughter of the moon?" Serenity sighed and looked up, into Endhalus’s concerned and confused eyes.

"She is a daughter of Mars, Talana is barren as you know. Apparently it is important that each planet in the Silver Millennium have a princess. The princesses of Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus were born two years ago. Now, not only am I pregnant, but so are the Queens of Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter. Several other Queens throughout the universe have given birth within two years, are currently pregnant, or shall be pregnant soon. Something is on the way, some dark force is coming and it’s dangerous. I don’t know how I know this, I just do. It’s all connected, somehow, and now I am pregnant with the daughter of Mars, the heat alone should tell you that. Our daughter, the daughter of the moon, shall come shortly after the daughter of Mars is born."
