MARS
The story starts off with a girl, Kira Aso, drawing in the park. A young man, Rei Kashino, approaches, asking for directions to the hospital. The girl hastly draws on her pad and tearing the piece of paper out, promptly leaves. The boy is surprised and looking at the paper sees a drawn map to the hospital. Later, he notices that behind the paper is a beautiful sketch of a mother and child.
Thus starts the story. Rei later finds out that Kira goes to his school. He starts to take an interest in this quiet and shy girl who loves to draw. After an incident where he defends Kira against the sexual assaults from an English teacher and also that Kira promised to color the sketch of the mother and child, Rei promises to lend his body to Kira. Kira promptly wants him to be her model. Of course, he had meant something else!
As the story unfolds, so does hidden feelings from their fellow classmates, Tatsuya Kida and Harumi Sugihara. What exactly is behind the pasts of the two leading characters? Read to find out!!!
Personal Thoughts:
I love this manga! A total of 15 volumes, this manga has truly caught me. Although I haven't finished reading the whole manga, the story line is intense, the pictures drawn nicely and the humor and seriousness is combined together to perfection! Rei is handsome and Kira is so cute and innocent! I would suggest this story to a lot of people because it also has discusses motorcycle racing, death, and much more.
