This was the first creation of Clamp's that I ever heard about and it's the typical rpg genre. Three 14-year old school girls, Shidou Hikaru, Ryuuzaki Umi, and Hououji Fuu are transported from the Tokyo Tower on a field trip to Cefiro by Princess Emeraude to save Cefiro from the hands of Zagato. When they arrive, they land on a big whale that transports them to meet the Master Mage Clef. Clef tells them that they are now in the land of Cefiro, where will determines everything. The three girls were summoned to be Magic Knghts and Clef awakens their magical abilities within them. The world of Cefiro is in chaos. Princess Emeraude-hime the pillar of Cefiro, has been captured by the priest Zagato. A pillar is one who prays constantly for the well being of the land. And without her prayers that hold the world together and in peace, Cefiro has become plagued by many monsters and demons. Cefiro will eventually and literally fall apart without her. The girls have been summoned by the princess to become the Magic Knights and save her, or so they thought. The three girls, strangers to each other at first become lasting friends and as they go over each obstacle, their armor advances and they each recieve their guardian beasts. With the help from the mage: Guru Clef, the white bunny: Mokona, the weapon maker: Presea, and the swordsman who has a slight crush on Fuu: Ferio, the 3 Magic Knights defeat Zagato and his Minions. To their surprise, they find out why they were summoned and what their mission is.
After completeing their devastating task they are wisked back to Earth and they are all heart broken...
In the second chapter, the three girls meet at the Tokyo Tower again to remember the events that transpired. Their wish to ammend thier actions and also their love for Cefiro made them transport back to the mystical land. This time unfortuantely, Cefiro is in true trouble, it is being torn apart from no presence of a pillar and other worlds are invading Cefiro to gain it's precious energy. The Magic Knights set about defending again.
How does it end???
Personal Thoughts: Typical hard to think of consequences... who would have thought that Emeraude had called for the Magic Knights so that they would kill her and stop herself from falling in love with Zagato?? Well there is a second part, although I don't know much about it...

Well, this manga is pretty old so I think you either get the english version from VIZ or get the manga translations offline and prepare yourself for the shock of your lives.
