1st TSG (A) COMMENT: the desert boot is a hot weather boot NOT a MOUNTAIN boot. We need a MOUNTAIN book with ankle reinforcements and a healthy gripping sole NOT an effort to ruin the hot weather boot which is fine as-is for the DESERT.

The brown birth control glasses (BCGs) issue is again the Army's fault Soldiers have hated them since they were introduced in 1989. Soldiers who give a damn about being tactical spend a few dollars and buy Combat MAG-1 glasses. The simple solution is to order all prescription eyewear Soldiers to go buy a pair of combat MAG-1 glasses for the field and to suffer the social dating consequences if they chose to wear the brown BCGs in garrison.
