Hello Everyone!
We had our February meeting on the 21st of this month. Eight members were able to attend.
I updated the members on the Heritage Foundation. The
purpose and goals of which are:
- To assume responsibility and accountabillity for the Warrant Officer Museum
Fund from the US Army Warrant Officers Association (USAWOA)
- To assist in the development, creation aand maintenance of items and material
presenting the history and heritage of the Warrant Officer Corps. The
Foundation will endeavor to arrange placement of these items and materials in
the National Museum of the United States Army being planned for Fort Belvoir,
VA
- To design, erect, and maintain a memorial to fallen Warrant Officers in the
Memorial Garden planned for the National Museum of the United States Army
- To develop a fund raising methodology too support the programs of the
foundation
- To distribute funds raised in a manner tthat supports the goals of education
of the general public on the history of the Warrant Officer Corps
- Produced and published Warrant Officer History Book covering the period
of July 1918 to September 2006
- All Directors, Officers, and Volunteers currently serve without compensation
(Right now, all donations will go towards building a Memorial to Fallen Warrant Officers)
The membership voted to donate $250.00 to the Heritage Foundation.

The Ordnance Corps Association requested support for their upcoming golf tournament. The membership voted to donate $200.00. This is something we do every year and the vote was unanimous, as was the vote for the Heritage Foundation donation. Thanks everyone!
Pete Hill informed the members of the upcoming AMM and that the web site will be up and running on the 3rd of March. He spoke of the Chapter's commitment as host Chapter and the OPD day on Wednesday the 22nd of October. By the way, the Chapter has donated $545.00 towards the upcoming AMM. I want to thank those of you that gave a personnel donation of $20.00 or more. The chapter donated $100.00, so individual members have donated $445.00. Thanks again for your support!
Pete, also invited the members to attend the COP that will be conducted Saturday the 23rd, weather permitting.
Larry Giles is planning another visit to the VA Hospital, in
Perryville. Details to follow.
Our next meeting is scheduled for: March 20th, at the HUT 1145 hours. See
