Vaneeta is an Indian word: meaning woman and she is a truly a feminine in all respects - very artistic and perfectionists. Her Home on the Web (http://www.oocities.org/vkgrover) is a testimony to that fact - full of 'Planten und Blumen' in colors. Her creativity is also well reflected in the display boards and publicity brochures designed by her for the Rotaract Club. Besides she is full of energy & zest and enjoys leading. Her life as a leader started when she was still in high school and was chosen to be the President of the school. Later on while doing her undergrad, she was elected as the President of the Legal Literacy Program of her college. She has also received prestigious Smt. Sivakamma Radha Krishna GOLD MEDAL - 1996 for being "Best Woman Candidate" in MA Examination, at the University of Delhi, Delhi, India (This is awarded to the woman student with the highest grades in Masters level examinations of the University).
In Canada she was elected as the Treasurer of SPICMACAY at McMaster University. As a member of the Executive Committee, she liaised between McMaster University and the Toronto chapter of the Canadian Operations Research Society. She is experienced in organizing seminars, exhibitions, dance programs, and mini paper night. She is also actively involved with her Alma Mater, McMaster University and is Director at large of the Alumni Association of Michael De Groote School of Business.
She took over as the Vice-President of Hamilton-McMaster Rotaract Club in early 2001 and attended USCC 2001 in Washington D.C. In July 2001 she became the President of her club. The club has flourished under her leadership and is active in different activities: seminars as part of professional development activities, local as well as International community projects. In middle of November 2001, she organized first fundraiser of her tenure: "Multi Cultural Entertainment Evening" which was a big success. The money thus raised is being used for: sending wheel chairs, communication devices and books to "Foundation for Disabled Kids" in Thailand for International Service Project; local community is being helped by donating, supplies for women and children, to Martha House, a women shelter. In addition to these activities, she ensures that close contact is maintained with the sponsoring Rotary Clubs and the members of the Rotaract Club volunteer on regular basis in the events and/or activities of the sponsoring Rotary clubs.
Crowning of her Presidency would be the International Conference on Youth Leadership & Sustainable Development (http://ca.oocities.com/confylsd_2002) to be held at McMaster University from May 15th to 17th May 2002. The conference offers a tour of Hamilton Bay Front area with emphasis on restoration work and a trip to Niagara Falls all for Canadian $200.00. That is all possible, because the club under her leadership could raise enough funds to subsidize the conference fee to such an extent - another feather in her cap!
Web designing is another passions of hers. She enjoyed designing, developing and maintaining the website for the USCC 2002. Besides she designed, developed and maintains a few other websites: http://www.oocities.org/vkgrover/osites.htm.
