Oracle 8i (8.1.7) has been installed on CSE-FARKAS1.engr.sc.edu. The server and the client would be on the same machine. Right now we are configuring the database. We intend to complete all configurations for the Oracle database which include database configuration,net8 confifuration, Oracle Internet Directory Configuration, Oracle wallet manager and Net8 assistant. After everything has been configured, we intend to configure the LDAP server. Once all the users have been created, we could then test the effectiveness of LDAP using a code(preferably in java).
