OP # 2 Reunion 2008
Our Reunion Operations Chief Ed Yetsko has provided the following
information.
Our CP will be located at: The future Retirement Home of Outpost # 2
United States Constabulary Association. Currently it is known as The
Owego Treadway Inn located at 1100 State Route 17C, Owego New York
13827. For the members of our annual reunion family, I am sure your car
knows the way (unless you bought a new one), and for any newcomers who
would like to join us, the directions are listed below.
Directions: The Treadway Inn is located just north of NYS Route 17
(Future 86). Get off at Exit 65. If traveling west, turn right at top
of exit ramp and bear left to RT 17C. If traveling east, turn right at
end of exit ramp, and 100 ft turn right to the bridge. Go over bridge
and bear left to RT 17C. At 17C (Light) turn right and Treadway is 100
yards on your left.
We normally do not plan any special trips as we have found most members
like to sit and visit or hook up with buddies and friends and go off on
their own. To find what is available in the area, go to
www.Owegotreadway.com and click on Links of Interest or golfers can
check on the golf courses.
Campers/Motor Homes:
The Town of Owego Park (aka: Hickories Park) is within walking distance
of the hotel and has campsites with hookups for water, electricity and
a dump station. If interested call Superintendent‘s office @
607-687-1199. For all who may use the facility, Day Tripper meal rates
will apply as specified on the registration form.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Hotel guests should specify their meal choice on the Hotel Reservation
form. Day Trippers/Campers should specify their meal choice on the
REGISTRATION form & send with money. If anyone has a special need
please advise the hotel when you make your reservation. Tuesday arrival
will consist of sign-in, meeting old friends and a commander’s briefing
(PM) with food available. Wednesday on your own till dinner and
entertainment. Someone named Gladys insisted we rehire Rich Wilson
again – for whatever reason? Thursday on your own till BBQ and raffle
drawings.
