Roadsport told me the 92 Porsche I bought was near-perfect, needed no work, and had never been involved in a fender bender or accident – a superb used car throughout.
My local Porsche mechanic found the following problems: missing engine splash shield, missing heater hose, both hatch lifters inoperable, two oil leaks, convertible top cables needed adjustment before I could operate the top, and all tires are nearly down to the wear bars.
Worse yet: Clutch work required. Engine hatch release does not release the engine hatch caused apparently by the car having been "rear-ended" and not fixed properly.
