JMA is a Nova company. It is traveller's insurance. It is illegal for it to be used as a primary health insurance for residents in Japan. That includes Nova instructors. It was set up to avoid paying into the government health and pension insurance system. It also makes money for Nova. At present it is under investigation by the government.
