The maximum increments in pay have been decrease from 20,000 to 10,000 yen.
No official notice was sent out to teachers to inform them of this.
Realisitically the maximum you can get is 7,500, and for an average teacher it
will be more like 2,500. Not really an incentive to put in any effort what so
ever.

Something I only found out for the first time a few weeks ago was
that New Contract pay increases have been OFFICIALLY cut from the max
of 20,000 to a max of only 10,000. Where was the official fax
informing us of this? Officially saving nova money.
As for the pay rise, that cut was a long time ago, and the max is now
7,500yen/month. And it's bloody difficult to get that.
