Internet Football Help
Beginning with the 2006
edition of Action! PC
Football ports 1451,
1452, 1453 and 1454 need
to be open in order to
play internet games. If
one or more of these
ports is closed you'll
likely encounter
connection and/or lockup
problems. If both host
and client computers
encounter simultaneous
red lights selecting
'options/reset display'
from the game screen
will refresh the
connection if these
ports are open.
To verify your IP address

For help forwarding ports
with various routers:

rwarding/ActPCF06/ActPCF06index.htm
In addition, the PC that
you are forwarding (the one
your are playing the game
on) must have its IP address
fixed and not dynamically
assigned. Double click
'Network Connections' from
the Windows control panel.
Double click your internet
connection. Select 'properties'and
then double click 'Internet
Protocol(TCP/IP)'. Uncheck
the box that says 'obtain an
IP address dynamically'.
Then, change the properties
of your TCP/IP configuration
and assign a permanent IP
address, gateway, etc. When
hosting with a router you
must give your opponent the
IP address of the router
rather than the IP address
of the PC. Typically you can
find the router IP by
signing onto your router and
checking the router status.
The router IP address
assigned by your provider is
usually displayed there as a
status item.
