I'm sure everyone in the crew will remember this man's name, but I dont' want to identify him.  On more than one occasion, he rented a car, and smashed it into several palm trees in Fort Lauderdale.  It seems to me he was forever paying off the bills for damage to cars and trees.
This is a shot of him in the reefer in the mess hall, on one of our stops in Key West.  Aside from the usual quantity of beer and liquor, I don't know why he removed all of the shelves of fresh fruit to "get comfortable."  There's a tow chain draped over his right shoulder.  He was in my watch section and was a terrific worker.  At sea, he was a hell of a nice guy, he just had a few "unusual habits" whenever he got into port.
