Our Baby

Well, the big day finally came. After being in early labor for almost a week, the real labor started at 6:46pm on March 2, 2003, as we were heading to Taco Bell for dinner. For the next hour, they steadily increased and were 4 minutes apart when we finally went to the hospital. The nurse, although very nice, kept telling Brittney that she had a Urinary Tract Infection, and that the labor pains she was experiencing were false. They had her attached to the monitoring equipment, and it never once picked up a contraction, so the nurse decided to believe the machines and not the patient, and sent us home at 10:30pm. After being at home for 3 hours of mind-numbing pain, we went back in and finally stayed.

22 hours after the initial labor began, at 4:33 pm, Jacob Edward Hartz came into this world screaming and yelling. He weighed in at 6lbs, 11 oz. & was 19 inches long. On the following pages you will find pictures and mpegs of our child, and check back every now and then, since I will update it with new stuff.
