Texas City Narcotic Case

Officer Cyr was dispatched to an apartment complex in Texas City, Texas in reference to meeting with the manager of the complex about narcotic trafficking. When Officer Cyr arrived, the manager told him that when she went and served a notice of eviction on a tenant, she observed a large amount of narcotics. Officer Cyr called Officer Stewart, a fellow K-9 handler and explained the situation. Officer Stewart in turn contacted the Galveston County Narcotics Task Force. A short time later a search warrant was drawn up and the search warrant was run. Officer Stewart and his K-9 partner Cera and other officers secured the scene. Once secured Officer Cyr and K9 Monto searched the interior of the apartment. A little over 2 pounds of marijuana, a scale and cash was seized and 3 others were arrested.
