Gold Coast Trip

Saturday (03/03/2001) - Around 36 students from various countries joined in for the Gold Coast trip organised by the Association. The trip involved going to Sea World on the first day, an overnight stay in a backpacker hotel and a shopping visit to Harbour Town the following day. According to some of the students that came along, the Sea World and Harbour Town visits were worth it although the accomodation stay could have been better.

The trip was accompanied by the Association's president (Mark Ha), secretary (Vivian Chan) and committee member (Vijayaram). Each student paid $90, which includes accomodation, Sea World entry fee and transportation. The treasurer, Soon-Hie Thu played a major role in making the necessary bookings and travel arrangements ensuring a successful trip.
