Girl Scout councils sponsor national
opportunities-
one- to-two week opportunities
in the United States- and administer international opportunities, which
are events in countries with Girl Guide associations.
Councils sponsor Wider Opportunities such as membership on the Board of Directors.
Most wider ops require references and council interviews, some skill, and, most importantly, an interest in the subject or theme of the event. All have age requirements.
