Vice Admiral Matti Johannes Jokinen leaned back in his chair,
causing the stressed mechanics of the furniture to complain
loudly. He regarded the female officer standing before him
closely, before opening his treasure chest of words.
"At ease, Captain. Have a seat." He pointed towards the
reasonably comfortable looking chair to Bell's right, and she
took it, crossing her legs as she sat.
"Manners dictate that I should ask how your leave was," Jokinen
said, "and then inquire about the pleasantness of your journey to
the station, but I think with your permission, we can skip that
part and cut to the beef."
Bell shrugged. "As you wish, sir."
Jokinen nodded. "We are launching a new ship in Green, another
Hood." He got up and walked to the viewport that gave to the main
docking bay. "It's right there, next to the TRAFALGAR. The USS
CHESAPEAKE."
"I believe I saw it when I came in, sir."
Jokinen turned around, hiding his smile. He folded his arms over
his chest. "You will be the Commanding Officer, Captain. The rest
of the senior staff has not been assigned yet, but Commander
Brennan, Daniel J. will be your XO, and Lieutenant th'Tellan from
the USS T.J. 'STONEWALL' JACKSON will be the Operations Officer.
Commander Brennan has most recently served on the USS ORLEANS and
USS ADDISON."
Bell nodded. A new ship.

NRPG:
The usual disclaimer; the brevity and lameness of this post and
general slowness in getting this out should not be seen as an
indication of illwill against any real or imagined persons.
In other words, sorry this was late. It should be enough to get
the job done. Hope I didn't butcher Bell, I tried not to.
In any case, the CHESAPEAKE, NCC-31813, should be considered
launched and active.
Congratulations, Amy. Next.
