"Come on in," a voice from the inside said, and the door opened. 
Shachor stepped in, and was greeted by a sight of a young female
Lieutenant sitting behind her desk. The Admiral's receptionist,
apparently. 
He walked up to the desk. "First Lieutenant David Shachor
reporting. I am here to see the Admiral." 
"Quite obviously," Mary Driscoll replied, and her hand started to
move towards her communication panel. "Just a second, I'll see if
the Admiral is free now." She was about to say 'awake' but she
had bitten her tongue too many times to make that mistake again. 
She activated the commlink. 
"Sir, First Lieutenant David Shachor is here to see you." Her
voice spewed honey. Maybe that was because she had been eating
honey candy earlier that day, which was of course due to the fact
that she had run out of chewing gum. She just couldn't live
without something in her mouth. Her onetime boyriend had
certainly taken advantage of that. 
 came the terse reply from the inner office, and
the link was severed. Mary released the button and turned to
Shachor, smiling sweetly. She pressed another button, and the
doors to the Admiral's office opened. 
"Go on in, Lieutenant." 
Shachor nodded, and walked inside. The office was dimly lit, with
the area of the desk on the other side of the room being
illuminated more brightly than the rest.
Shachor walked over to that desk, and came to attention before
the figure sitting in the chair behind it. "First Lieutenant
David Shachor reporting for assignment, sir!" He presented the
PADD that contained his orders. 
"At ease, Lieutenant," Jokinen grunted, and leaned forward to
take the PADD. The chair creaked loudly. "I'll be brief. You are
being assigned to the USS CHESAPEAKE, as the Marine Commanding
Officer. The ship is commanded by Captain Amanda Bell, and is
currently docked here at the station."
Jokinen pressed a few buttons on the PADD and then handed it back
to the marine. "Here are your boarding orders. The ship is in the
main docking bay. Once you are aboard, report to the watch
officer." 
"Aye, sir." 
"Welcome to Green Fleet, and good luck on your assignment. 
Dismissed." 
With that, First Lieutenant David Shachor turned and walked out
of the office.
