From: Melvin Harry PollackDate: Fri, 21 Mar 1997 15:41:23 -0500 (EST) Subject: USS CHESAPEAKE: th'Tellan's Murky Post... Er, Past.
MD 3.1200 th'Tellan went back to his room for a quick lunch. Entering, he noted with satisfaction that his new Rihanna - sculpted bookends had finally arrived. He had been afraid that his supplier would be able to trace him to new ship - and he had no idea where to find a new supplier willing to ignore regulations against buying Rihanna art. After ordering lunch, he sat on his bed and began to think....th'Tellan and Kantek walked off of the bridge. "Well, I'm glad the mission is finally over." Kantek, a burly Klingon and the Stonewall's Security Officer nodded in agreement. "Yes, after dealing with Cardassians, Jem Hadar, and Alien Comets.... Didn't we already have this discussion?" "Yeah, about two years ago. This is a flashback." "A flashback? That's rather unlike you." "Yeah, well, I figured that since everyone else on the Chesapeake was doing it, I had to do one as well." "But this event occured after the mission. It cannot possibly hold any interest to anyone else." "True, but I've been studying flashbacks and I've come to the conclusion that they're allowed to be composed of uninteresting events." "Still, I would think that you would come up with something more exciting and informative." "Hey, give me a break. It's my first flashback." Kantek nodded. "I apologize. So, when will this flashback end." "Oh, it should end right about.... Now." th'Tellan smiled. "Can I time it, or can I time it," he said to himself. th'Tellan then flopped on the bed and began to cry. He didn't really feel sad, but Starfleet Regulations required officers to go into deep depressions after any flashback, and th'Tellan felt that he was in enough trouble already.... Meanwhile, back at the Science Center.... MD 3.1245 Sereh was already sitting down when Murray came back from lunch. She stood up and waited for Murray to sit down. "Sir, I have formulated a schedule that will allow you to meet with all of the groups. I have also taken the liberty of formulating three possible agendas. You may pick and choose at your liesure." Murray nodded. "All right, you've scheduled the first meeting for 1405. Looks good..." "Sir, I also wish to point out that I appreciate serving with you, and that I am willing to assist in any way." Murray smiled. Sereh wasn't too bad at pleasentries, but she wasn't quite there, yet. "Very well, thank you, Sereh." Murray watched as Sereh left. NRPG: Masako: It may seem that I'm making fun of you. You're probably right. The dinner post with th'Tellan looks good, and I think it's ready for submission. It looks like you understand how to play th'Tellan and Sereh pretty well. And don't worry, even I don't always get it right. (You have no idea how much trouble it is to write a romance post with a Vulcan "heroine".) Christine: It may seem that I'm making fun of you. You're definitely right. I'm sorry, I've kept quiet for as long as I can, but if I read one more post about how Catherine can't walk from the Bathroom to the Bedroom without mourning her loss, I'm going to go just as insane as th'Tellan. Please remind Cathy about the benefits of phone and e-mail, and how I know a lot of people with faraway loves who don't break down every 10 minutes. Also, it looks like th'Tellan will have to have a medical checkup soon. Ledoux vs th'Tellan, hmmmm? Nora: Welcome aboard. We've got the finest collection of nuts this side of the galaxy. You'll like it. Submitted by.... Melvin Pollack.... Lt Cmdr Avikar th'Tellan OPS USS Chesapeake mpollack@wam.umd.edu
