Subject: [CHESAPEAKE] SB DELTA: CINCGREEN's Office: Ensign Gann

Scene:	CINCGREEN's Office, SB DELTA, Vulcan, 40 Eridani
> A few hours later, Ensign Jareth Gann found himself on SB Delta approaching
> the CINCGREEN's office.

Upon entering, he laid eyes on Lieutenant Mary Driscoll. She
answered his stare with a dull look and shifted something in her
mouth. 
Gann walked up to her desk. "Ensign Jareth Gann, sir. I am here
to see the Admiral." 
"Aren't they all," Mary mumbled and took a moment to arrange the
chewing gum in her mouth, before opening a comlink to the inner
office. "Ensign Gann here to see you, sir," she said, sounding
fresh as a cool breeze on a hot summer day beside a calm lake in
some scandinavian country. One could almost smell the pines and
hear the splash of a fish jumping out of the water. 
 Jokinen replied. He, in turn, sounded more like a
chilly wind on a cold midwinter day, when wolves are howling and
the moon is full, drawing the creatures of the night from their
hiding places to engage in their nocturnal activities. 
Mary closed the link, and turned back to Gann. "The Admiral will
see you now," she said, and Gann nodded, mumbling a quick 'thank
you', and proceeded through the doors that opened to let him in. 
He covered the distance from the door to the desk, treading on
the green carpet with black embroiderings. "Ensign Jareth Gann,
reporting for assignment, sir!" he said, coming to attention. 
"At ease, Ensign," Jokinen grunted, looking exactly as cold and
unfriendly as he sounded. 
"This will take only a moment," he continued, and took the PADD
the Ensign offered, then leaning back in his chair. It had been
freshly oiled, and the customary creak was missing. He briefly
looked over the information in the PADD. "You are going to the
USS CHESAPEAKE, as their new Chief Engineer.  CHESAPEAKE is a new
ship, of Hood class, and is still docked here at DELTA. 
Commanding officer is Captain Amanda Bell, with Commander Daniel
Brennan as her XO." 
He touched a few buttons on the PADD and then handed it back to
the Ensign. "Here are your boarding orders. The ship is in main
docking bay. Report to watch officer upon boarding. Welcome to
Green Fleet, and good luck. Dismissed!" 
Gann took the PADD and turned around, leaving the office.
