He poked his head through, carefully, and said, 'It's O'Graeach, > Sir. I can come back later if it's inconvenient right now..." Vice Admiral Matti Jokinen looked up. "Ensign," he boomed. "Come in, walk up to my desk, stand in attention, and don't wave about when you talk to me!" O'Graeach seemed to hesitate for a moment, but then stepped into the office. The doors closed behind him, and he made his way to the desk, painstakingly reminding Jokinen that new Ensigns weren't what they were 30 years ago. Where was this world going to? "Now, report!" Jokinen barked, and leaned back in his chair, his hulking form dwarfing the furniture. "Er.. Ensign Ozwald O'Graeach, reporting for assignment. Sir." Some hesitations, but overall almost satisfying performance. Jokinen nodded. "At ease, Ensign," Jokinen said. "And that doesn't mean you can fall into a slump," he then added, eyeing the Ensign harshly. "Now, this will be brief. Partly because there is not much to say, but mostly because I cannot stand you in my eyes. "You will be the Helmsman of the USS CHESAPEAKE. The Commanding Officer is Captain Amanda Bell, and her XO Commander Daniel Brennan. The ship is still docked. Now, if you would give me the PADD which contains the orders you received from Admiral Crowell..." O'Graeach searched for it for a second, and then handed it over. "Thank you. Had you shown this to my receptionist, you might have avoided spending a night in the brig," Jokinen said, and touched a few buttons, downloading the Ensign's boarding orders. He then handed the PADD back. "Get down to main docking bay, and upon boarding the ship, report to the watch officer." Jokinen paused for a second, the look in his eyes making it clear to O'Graeach that he wasn't supposed to leave quite yet. "Welcome to Green Fleet, Ensign. Dismissed!" Respectfully Submitted, Jari Makela jarim@cc.tut.fi VADM Matti Jokinen CINCGREEN, SB DELTA http://www.cc.tut.fi/~jarim/green/ NRPG: Fabian, fun post!Your character reminds me of a few rookies that used to totally drive me crazy back when I was in the army. Unbelievably annoying. ;) Anyway, someone suggested that I should make it clear that although Jokinen may despise your character, I personally am not at all mad at you. However, it is not my intention to insult your intelligence, so I just said that here incase someone was confused... Anyway, you probably know what to do next.. addresses to the ship are in the header, and you should also soon receive a copy of the current roster. Be sure cc me a copy of posts to the ship, since I maintain the archive. Anything with the word 'CHESAPEAKE' and NOT 'NRPG' in the title will be archived, so please be careful. (the filter is case insensitive). Also send the bio of your character to Takako Nagumo, who plays the XO. Her address is tnagumo@pop.pitt.edu. She will then soon send out the updated biofile for the ship. The CO is played by Amy Gross, ag8836a@american.edu. Amy, Takako, everyone: Your FCO, ENS Ozwald O'Graeach, as played by Fabian Alexander, 96906700afk@nene.ac.uk.
