Nicole was born to a Starfleet family that instructed her from birth in the ways of Starfleet and the way Officers should act.  As she progressed through her early school years, she had many friends due to her high sense of loyalty and her ability to stay out of trouble.  She was very active in extra-curricular activities in High school, but did not let her grades slip because of this.  Many of her teachers would hold her as an example to the rest of her classes.
  When she was in High School, her best friend was attacked on the way home from school.  As Nicole was nearing the age of entry to the Academy, she chose to enter Security for her feelings of that situation.  She often thinks of this event, the Security force that did nothing to investigate the attack.  This is Nicole's motivation: "Nothing like this should go un-punished.  If they were truly Security Officers, they would have put forth an earnest effort to find the person that did this."  This makes Nicole strive to be a better person and not to let something like this happen while she's around.

At the age of 18, Nicole finaly fufilled her dream.  This was her first term at the Academy.  Throughout her four years, she had only one reprimand, and 3 commendations.  Her reprimand was for conduct un-becoming.  One of the Cadets in one of her classes was insulting her and her family, which didn't bother Nicole--until her started talking about Starfleet.  Nicole became enraged and punched the Cadet in the jaw, breaking it.
  Her commendatons were for thwarting an attack on the Academy Commendant [second year], being the only one to 'survive' the battle training exercise [third year], and for helping investigate a case while training on the USS Eveready.
Recently Graduated and is waiting transfer.
