The Flight Deck for October 2001, Issue 101
Greetings all,
Welcome to the wet month of October! Hey, it could be worse...it could be
snowing! Brrr! We have actually two get-togethers this month. Let's join
the USS Adventure for its annual Hayride and Cookout Saturday Oct. 20th at
Eagle Creek Park. It will start at 630pm and the hayride is at 800pm.
Please rsvp to the invitation Lillian sent out earlier so they know who all
is coming. Then, the next Saturday the 27th, we'll be having our everfamous
Halloween bonfire-costume party-possibly fireworks-hayride at our own
peripatetic CMDR Mark Milhous'! We'll be meeting at his house at 4:00pm.
His lovely wife Gloria is recuperating nicely from surgery and we'll try to
not to destroy any of his trees...or anything else, for that matter. Please
come in costume and we will be having prizes. I'm the captain so I get to
judge. Suck-ups welcome! Also, if the night is clear and not too cold we
may be able to peek through his telescope at the stars. Congratulations are
in order for CMDR Milhous who was promoted at the Enterprise party at
Lillian's last month. Someone else got promoted but since she hasn't been
seen, she'll just have to wait until she turns up to get her promotion. Now
you'll all have to wonder (except those who made it to Enterprise!) So,
speaking of Enterprise, let's get some feedback...who likes it? Who
doesn't? What's with the Klingon blood being red...blooper or secret clue?
What about that Vulcan (touch telepath, remember!) letting that primitive
human cream her back...to say nothing of that's a stupid way to
decontaminate someone...what about their hair??? Hmmm. Let me know what you
think! That's all for now! Hope to see you soon and Happy Halloween!
Mary
