Hi everyone! I just found out about this website. Chuck Meiers called me. We still keep in touch, we were Personnelmen on board SEATTLE '73 to '76 (two Med cruises, one Gitmo, numerous Caribbean cruises). I've been in touch over the years with quite a
ew of our former shipmates: Chuck, Mike Last, Todd Bacon, Hugh Primrose, to name a few. What times we all had back then! The SEATTLE has been homeported here in NJ at Earle Naval Weapons Station for probably 10 years or more, but I have not seen her.

Was happy to find this web page...
I was very fortunate to serve on Seattle with many hard working individuals in the electrical division. I am in a new life now as a teacher, but will never forget pulling firepump motors from the enginerooms, and exhaust fan motors from above the boilers.
To those who are still out there serving, thank you for your time. Those of us who stood long engineroom watches before you left a lot of our youth there... as will you.
