Movies 2-7 "Duty Uniform" Command Dept.      Command uniforms are worn by those who are in a position, that will one day lead to the Admiralty, or the command of a starship. Command uniforms are signified by a white "track" color.
These uniforms have a slight resemblance to the dress uniforms from the original series. The uniforms consist of a red jacket over a colored turtleneck. Th undershirt was the same color as hte cuff & the rank clasp, and this color indicated what branch of the bleet the officer worked in.
