Star Trek "Duty Uniform" Sciences      Science uniforms are worn by those in the sciences as well as the medical field. Although almost always at opposite ends of philosophical debates, Spock & McCoy had a common feature: the blue shirt of the Fleet in which both were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good.
The Original Series was the first series of Star Trek, and as such, is the template for all later versions. Until the second movie, all the unforms seen were very similar in design. Following the movies, The Next Generation acted as a template.
