Bio - Laharl is the only son of the late Overlord King Krichevskoy and his human wife, the Queen. His parents met when the Queen (who was a witch) came to the Netherworld to study. It was love at first sight for the King, and he proposed to her. She accepted, and not long after the Prince was born. For most of his childhood, Laharl was taught by his mother that bad behavior was not acceptable. People's feelings were delicate, and they needed to be treated with care. She would scold him every time he did something bad because she wanted to raise him to be a kind boy--something quite amazing when one was a demon. When he was young, Laharl was infected with a rare disease that even the King couldn't cure. There was only one way to save him: the life of one who loved him. So despite the King's wishes, the Queen took her own life ot save the Prince's. It was at that point that Laharl came ot hate love and kindness; he felt that it was its fault that his mother had died. It hurt so much to lose the one person he'd loved most, that he shut away his feelings and emotions and started to become a cruel demon. When he was 1311, Laharl was poisoned by one of his father's vassals: a female demon known as "Etna" who had once loyally served the King. Because of the poison, he went into a deep sleep for two years, only to awaken and find his father had died shortly after he'd gone to "take a nap". Hardly fazed by this fact at all, Laharl immediately rose to vye for his father's place as the next Overlord with Etna serving as his only vassal,for now.
