Less than 36 hours after his birth, they were all on a shuttle back to San Francisco. Paul's early life was normal for the offspring of teachers, his intelligence was high and he'd always displayed a natural curiosity about things, how they worked and how to fix them. This led to him getting in trouble a lot for managing to find things he shouldn't, then completely disassemble them - and the reassembly afterward was often incorrect because of one or two misplaced pieces. When Paul was three, his brother was born, then two years later, his sister came into the world. Paul adored his siblings, and they him. He went out of his way to ensure the neighborhood bullies would not pick on them, often getting into fist fights, which led to getting in trouble with his parents who didn't believe in fighting. Paul spent many days in his room, alone, punished for fighting. That didn't bother him, however, as he read up on starships and life in space... he had a desire to travel in space, defend the Federation against attacks and engineer a safe retreat after that. As he reached his teens, Paul's parents got divorced... he took it hard, and no matter what he did, he couldn't fix his parents' marriage. Despondant and depressed, his grades started slipping, and this displeased his father. Paul was enrolled in therapy sessions and eventually came out of his funk, after realizing the divorce wasn't his fault. His grades improved and he was accepted into Star Fleet Academy when he was eighteen, choosing Tactical as a major and Engineering as a minor, two tough degrees, but he managed to graduate four years later. He opted to attend Command School for two years as well and graduated with top honors. Personality: Eager, friendly problem solver, willing and capable of leading. Education: He attended Starfleet Academy and Command school, majoring in Tactical systems and protocols and minoruing in Engineering Systems. His cadet cruise was aboard the USS Endeavor. Starfleet Background: His career is a long and solid one, form his days aboard the Santa Clara to his last job, Executive Officer of the USS Wilderness, and through it all, he's shown a pioneering spirit unequalled in this day and age, and he looks forward to his new assignment, the USS Scorpius, and it is certain he will display the same leadership skills and compassion that got him this far.
