By first grade, she was learning long division and multiplication, along with some of the other harder subjects. It didn't take long for her teachers to decide that she was very bright. A lot of that evidence came about when they realized she was getting bored while in class. By the time she finished High school, she'd had trigonometry, advanced calculus, advanced chemistry, history including history of the Federation. And other than a few minor scraps and scrapes, she hadn't had a very unusual or hard life. She tried for entrance into the Academy and she passed the exam first time out. She majored in operations and minored in medical. Her heart was not into anything else but her schoolwork. She breezed through a lot of the classes she took. Chandler graduated from the academy and moved on to take her cadet cruise. She received several good marks on her abilities by her supervising officer. She returned and enrolled in command school. She continued her academy classes plus those recommended for those taking command class to take. She took the recommended subjects and soon graduated.
