This story is set in early 1944, with the Stevens participating in "Operation Flintlock" to clear the Japanese out of the Marshall Islands. It's framed around an odd little vignette of the crew aboard the Stevens seeing a lone Japanese rider, on a white horse and in full ceremonial armour, riding on the beach of the island. An interesting little story that provides a brief glimpse into the destruction that the men on the ship had to participate in, and how it affected them at times.
Some very nice Glanzman art in this one, especially the two views of the Kunko Warrior on the title page. .
