This story is primarily about the split second nature of an air attack at sea, opening with a look at the radar and sonar of the ship picking up the incoming enemy, and taking us through, in 4 pages, the quick decisions made by the crew in order to handle the attack. Glanzman sets a good brisk pace, matching the theme of the story.
As noted on the last page, the story recounted here, about a destroyer fending off an attack by 10 kamikaze planes, actually happened to the USS Handley, rather than the Stevens. But I guess the Handley didn't have a cartoonist aboard to do a series about that ship...
