Family History:
1780s: French Navy captain Henri Boulanger commanded a
warship in the fleet that sailed (under Admiral de
Grasse) to the Virginia coast to aid American
revolutionaries in 1781-2. He then opened "Boulangerie de
Strasbourg", 1785, after retiring from the French Navy.
1870s: Alexandre Boulanger and an unidentified younger
brother, co-owners of "Boulangerie de Strasbourg", had
a quarrel over the possibility of shutting down the
bakery after the German invasion of 1870. As a result,
Alexandre bought his brother out, and his brother
moved to Canada.
1940s: Christophe Boulanger became a hero in the French
Resistance (the original Maquis). In 1944, he attempted
to blow up the Reichstag building in Berlin on Bastille
Day, but failed due to a faulty detonator. After the war,
he was given the old castle of the Duke of Alsace by the
French government, as recognition for his heroism. He
renamed it Castle Boulanger; it is still the family home.
He then assumed ownership of the bakery from his mother.
2040s: The twin brothers Jean-Claude (C) and Jacques (3B)
helped Buck Bokai turn a triple play in the top of the
ninth in the last game of the 2042 World Series, winning
the world championship by one point while they finished
their second (and last) season with the London Kings,
after playing several years in the minor leagues and half
of the 2040 season for the Colorado Rockies.
Modern: Christophe was born on Bastille Day, July 14, 2385,
the fifth of six children. His sister Jacqueline left
Strasbourg in 2390, to become a starship designer at the
Utopia Planetia Shipyard. His mother died while giving
birth to his younger sister in 2391. Another sister,
Marguerite Boulanger, left home in 2397 and established
Croissant Enterprises, which is now an interstellar
restaurant and sports conglomerate. Jacqueline married
K'Nedi, June 3, 2399. Christophe entered Starfleet Academy,
August 24, 2404, and graduated with the class of January 2408.
On February 25, 2408, Martin Boulanger died, leaving the
bakery and castle to his oldest daughter, Jeanne
Boulanger-Cavalier. Alexandra followed Christophe into
Starfleet, joining the Academy in September 2409.
In late January, 2409, Marguerite Boulanger and nine other
Terran business leaders announced the formation of the new
Terran Professional Baseball League, in which she owns one
team (the Strasbourg Tricolors, named for a 21st century
minor league team on which two of her ancestors played) of
the original ten.

History: Hailing from a long line of patriots and military heroes, Freedom
chose a seperate route... religion. He became a minister and then joined
Starfleet. While in Starfleet he met his wife Patricia Bell served as XO of
the USS Victory where they meet and got married. Later she left Starfleet to
aid the Marquis.
While a member of the USS Victory-A, his vessel went into pursuit of a
Marquis vessel. Little did he know that Patricia Bell, was captain of the
vessel. In the wake of the firefight that occured Patricia Bell and the
Marquis crew was destroyed and the Victory-A was heavily damaged. Amongst
those injured where Reverend Freedom Attucks who had bravely taken over the
ship during the course of the battle, when the bridge staff found itself
Captainless.
Rev. Freedom Attucks blames himself for the lost of his wife and the lives
of both crew. His performance since has been less than spectacular and his
attitude towards his peer and superior officers has dramatically changed as
well.

B. Background
Summary:
Megan was born on the Turkana IV colony, a world known for its violence and
complete anarchy. Most people live underground, fearful of the various
waring factions. The two strongest factions being the Alliance and the
Coalition. Turkana IV severed all relations with the Federation may years
ago; in their last contact with the UFP in 2361, both Coalition and Alliance
leaders warned that any visitors would be killed. The last time the
Federation had any official contact with Turkana IV was when the
Enterprise-D visited in 2367 and found nothing had changed - the factions
were still at locked in a seemingly senseless war and acts of random
violence were still commonplace.
Megan was the daughter of Conor and Molly Murphy, two Devout Catholics.
Molly and Connor had three more children after Megan.
When Megan was four, her Father was killed by members of the Alliance
because he refused to join them.
When Megan was 10, her mother prevented the Coalition from selling
narcotics to local children to raise money for their weapons. Members of
the Coalition had Megan's mother badly beaten afterwards, leaving her
severely wounded. Megan was worried about her mother. Her mother simply said
"Don't worry, if you pray for me everything will be alright." So Megan
prayed with her siblings for the mother. Their mother died, in what passed
for a hospital on Turkana IV, of internal injuries despite all the prayers.
After that, Megan stop practising her faith.
Megan and her siblings became homeless after the death of their mother.
After four years of living on the streets of Turkana IV, Megan decided she
could not longer stand living on the war torn world. She and her siblings
stowed away on various shuttles until they wound up on Earth. As soon as
she turned sixteen, Megan walked into a Starfleet Recruiting Office and
demanded to be given an opportunity to take the entrance exam for Starfleet
Academy. She passed and entered into the academy the same year.
Megan did well at the academy, much better than most people expected. She
credited her good marks to the fact that her parents had educated her as a
child. Also, much of the time she was homeless was spent in libraries
reading any and every book he could. Libraries were a relatively safe place
to keep warm.
After she graduated, she was involved in a fight at a local tavern.
No-one was injured. Megan had too much to drink as had many of the other
people involved. Ever since that incident, Megan has avoided drinking
alcohol.
Her first assignment was aboard the USS BONDAR. She served as Assistant
cheif security officer where she received one commendation for bravery
(details listed below). She was eventually promoted to Lt. jg and
re-assigned to the SUFFOLK.

Received a commendation for bravery because she risked her life in a mine
field to save a fellow officer. She was surveying a planet that had been
abandoned for many years, along with a team from the USS BONDAR. The
tricoders failed to detect the mine field until a member of the team, Lt.
Secord, was right in the middle of the mine field. Lt Secord panicked and
was unable to re-trace his steps back out of the field - in fact he felt he
was unable to move. The tricorders could not seem to get a precise location
on each of the mines. Ensign Murphy ran into the mine field and carried him
out.

Once reprimanded for being involved in a brawl in a bar. Megan was involved
in a bar fight that got out of hand. It was shortly after she graduated

Roland Docker's life has been a series of triumphs over tragedy. A quiet,
unassuming person, he has had to overcome great odds to become the man he is
today. Orphaned at birth, he grew up in an orphanage in Hawaii where he
learned the value of hard work and how to believe in himself. Against
overwhelming odds, he worked his way through school and managed to secure
himself a spot at Starfleet Academy.
During the first two years at the Academy, Roland excelled in his piloting
skills and worked hard to make up for his deficiencies in other academic
areas. Always with a smile on his face, he hid his belief that he was
somewhat lesser than his fellow academy students due to his upbringing.
At the end of the second year at the Academy, another tragedy befell Mr.
Docker. Always a defender of the weak, he found himself trying to protect
the son of a well known Captain and his friends against a larger gang.
During the fight, Mr. Docker was rendered unconscious and when he woke up,
he was being arrested for the murder of the gang leader. His trial was
swift and Roland found himself at a Maximum security facility.
During his stay there, Roland continued to study and improve himself,
continually keeping up with the latest advancements made in Starfleet and
keeping in shape. He had been the target of several murder attempts, of
which he managed to subdue, but not kill, his attacker(s). This would
account for the various scarring on his body. He?s kept a low profile and
managed to thrive in captivity for 10 years.
He was recently released and reinstated into Starfleet as an Ensign by an
unknown benefactor. He normally keeps to himself and likes to maintain a
low profile. He will make friends, but it will be difficult for him due to
his past. He is unable to shake the stigma he has of being an orphan and
continues to look for his biological parents. He is also driven to try to
find who his hidden benefactor is and why he has reinstated Roland back into
Starfleet.

Born to a traditional and Catholic Irish family in Northern Ireland, Cathy's
family can trace their history back to the turn of the 19th century.
Traditionally, a family or farmers and bakers, a notable exception in the
family tree, belonged to her great-great grandfather who helped broker the
peace and previous divide that had divided the Northern and Southern parts
of Ireland.
Inspired by her grandfathers' efforts, Cathy's big dream is to join the
diplomatic corps or the Federation Ambassadorial staff.
Cathy began her Star Fleet career at DS8, a Federation outpost along the
Daktarian border as Morale Officer. When the trade lines were re-opened in
late 2407, the space station found itself thrust into new prominence and
Cathy's role was expanded to include Protocol duties.
After almost three years of service, Cathy applied and was accepted into the
Star Fleet Diplomatic Corps training programme. She made it halfway through
before it was decided that she did not have enough experience in the fleets.
The head of the programme suggested that she undertake a formal Counseling

Following her second graduation, Cathy was assigned to the USS Leviathan as
assistant Counselor, before gaining promotion to Lieutenant junior grade a

Born an eternal optimist, Cathy can scarcely see the bad side in any
situation.
Although, she is assigned as Counselor to the SUFFOLK, she still performs
most of her counseling duties as that of a Morale Officer. She has an

and it is the words on that plaque that she bases her professional career

IX. Commanding Officer Report

Ensign Cathy O'Leary joined DS8 following graduation from Star Fleet
Academy.
She was thrust into the often-difficult role of Morale and Protocol Officer
during a significant period of change aboard this station. When the trade
routes along the Daktarian line were re-opened, our outpost experienced a
significant increase in the number of commerce and civilian visitors,
including a number of high-ranking visitors and trade envoys. At all times
ENS O'Leary worked with distinction and was tireless in her duty to ensure
that all delegates and visitors enjoyed a productive and rewarding stay.
Her work with the Star Fleet and Civilian crews of this station has been
outstanding and has also not gone unnoticed. No task has being too
unimportant and no duty too trivial for her to personally oversee.
I wish her all the best with the future and her application to the Star
Fleet Diplomatic Corps.

Dr. Cyon has two brothers, one older and one younger. Her father died when she
was fourteen; her mother is still alive. Dr. Cyon is the only joined
Trill in her family.
History: Cyon was born on the Trill homeworld, where she excelled in both
literature and the sciences. She spent a summer at Vulcan Science Academy's
program for teenagers and received praise from her instructors. She enjoyed her
stay there, though she detests the Vulcan heat and isn't sure she agrees
with the Vulcan philosophy of repressing emotions. At some point, she underwent
the strenuous Trill initiation program to receive a symbiont, but
it was several years before she was joined.
Elodi loved to watch old Terran shows like "MASH" and "Chicago Hope." Medicine
and health sciences fascinated her and, at 18, she enrolled at
Starfleet Academy, entering Starfleet's eight-year medical program. She was
joined at age 20, receiving the Cyon symbiont.
Previous hosts:
Selwa Cyon: An acclaimed musician and composer known both for her incredible
talent and her ego. Selwa was married about seven or eight times (there's
still some debate as to how many of these marriages were legal). She had two
daughters, neither of whom were fathered by any of her husbands. She was
known for tolerating hecklers onstage and then attacking them after concerts,
heavy drinking, and wild spending habits. Her friends included notorious
members of the Orion Syndicate; there is no evidence, however, that she ever
was involved in organized crime activities.
Kamela Cyon: Policewoman on the failed Federation colony of Turkana IV. Killed in
the line of duty. Kamela was married twice and was a devoted
mother to her four children.
Lukin Cyon: Architect who designed some of Trill's loveliest bath houses. Lukin
remained celibate throughout his life (as far as anyone knows), and was a
known society figure and raconteur. Of all the hosts, Elodi has said that
Lukin is the one she would most like to meet.
Dell Cyon: Brilliant linguist described by Elodi as having the personality of a
tribble. Upon his death, Dell was discovered to have an extensive
collection of erotica. He had also published several erotic short stories in
magazines, under a pseudonym. Dell had two children out of wedlock, but
was not close to them. He was fluent in nine languages, including Trill,
Romulan, Federation Standard, and Klingon.
Personality profile: Dr. Cyon is an intelligent, practical, no-nonsense woman
whose manner can strike people as brusque. She values efficiency, and
if you are not a patient or staff, you are not particularly welcome in her
sickbay. However, she has an appealing bedside manner with her patients, a
mischievous sense of humor, and a deep loyalty to people she cares about. She
does not like to talk about her life as Selwa Cyon, however, and one can
sense her unease when Selwa's name is mentioned.
Physical appearance: Dr. Cyon is 5 feet 4 inches tall, with creamy skin, short
red hair, large green eyes, and Trill speckles. She is small-boned,
agile, and spry.
Interests: Cyon loves to read old science fiction and mystery novels. She has a
mystery holonovel program in which she plays a forensic doctor and
amateur sleuth. She also has a mountain bike in her quarters and spent her free
time at the Academy pedaling furiously up and down San Francisco's
plummeting hills. (Nowadays, of course, she confines her bicycling to the
holodeck.) Cyon also loves to swim, loves pools, and enjoys the water (this
probably reflects the influence of Lukin).
