Unremarkable to the point of anonymity. Starfleet academy probably pump out hundreds of recruits just like him every year. Fair hair, grey eyes, fresh faced to the point of caricature. A thickset build and muscular physique is the legacy of growing up in a high gravity enironment.
Specialist Skills:
Trained specifically as a security officer, Mackensen is highly skilled in a variety of Martial arts and an excellent shot. He is also highly trained as a tactical officer, being skilled in the handling of a starship's systems and having studied extensively in deep space combat tactics. He is also a fair cook.Personal Strengths:
Mackensen is a bit of a hard nut actually - despite his innocent, butter-wouldn't-melt-in-his-mouth looks. It takes a lot to put him down...Notable Weaknesses:
Inexperienced and acutely aware of the fact, Mackensen endlessly feels the need to re-affirm his authority over his more experienced peers. This often results in him looking like an utter prat. He has "issues" over his weight and lack of stature. Inarticulate and a touch gauche, he is an easy butt of jokes and inevitably rises to the bait. Eventually he'll get over it...
Personality Profile:
Mackensen is the first citizen of Tallonia to have passed through Starfleet academy and remains something of a celebrity on his home world. This has made him intensely driven by a desire not to let the folks back home down, and to some extent explains his meteoric career to date.
Make no mistake, despite his relative lack of experience, Mackensen is stuffed full of himself and has a head so fat it's a miracle he can get out of the turbolift.
However, to be fair to him, it's not easy when the hopes and dreams of an entire provincial mining planet are riding on you, and so far Mackensen has managed to behave with a reasonable degree of humility because somewhere deep inside he knows he's not all he's cracked up to be.
All that aside, Mackensen is competent and intelligent, loyal and trusting. A bright future beckons...General Background:
Mackensen's parents died in a mining accident shortly after he recieved his first commission. He has no remaining close family.
He is a stickler for rules and regulations and is distinctly inflexible to in this respect.
Mackensen was over the moon to discover he would be serving under Cpt Rachantonin - a man who Mackensen Hero worshiped throughout his academy days.Service History:
