The Vor'Cha Class is the current backbone of the Klingon Warfleets. Details of the class remain classified and all data are estimates and extrapolations from recorded footage. The Mk 12 Disruptor cannon is considered equivalent to the Federation Type X phaser array and the Klingon triple fire torpedo tube is the Klingon counter the Federation burst fire system.

What is known about the Vor'Cha is that it was initially developed as a counter to the Ambassador class, but then was redesigned virtually from the ground up following the announcement of the Nebula and Galaxy class. The Vor'Cha is certainly the equal of the Nebula in combat, and is a fair counter to the Galaxy - although it is worth bearing in mind that the Vor'Cha is a far more combat oriented vessel than the Galaxy.

As the Vor'Cha design begins to age, the first round of refits are apparently on the way. Exactly what the Klingons plan is obviously unknown, but the Klingon Navy has a record of getting the best out of it's ships, so the Vor'Cha is likely to remain a formidable vessel for many decades to come.
