Comments:

The USS Stasbourg is one of the ships which joined Taskforce 42 with USS Warspite. She is the designated replacement for USS Serpentine.

The Strasbourg is also brand new. She had barely completed her shakedown run before being attached to USS Warspite. However, she has an experienced crew, the bulk of whom previously worked together aboard the USS El Dorado before her decommissioning in 2372.

The Intrepid class are amongst the fastest ships in the Federation fleet and are judged to be excellent escorts to the Sovereign class. They have equal firepower and combat effectiveness to the larger Light Cruisers like the Steamrunner class and they have proved capable of surviving severe punishment at the hands of superior enemies.
