World Youth Day in Manila October 1, 2005, when the Civil Engineering Department requested volunteer students to participate in the celebration of the World Youth Day in Manila at Amoranto Stadium, to be as marshals of the said event. The 3CEB class accepted the task since Mr. Santos prompted us that he would give incentives if we would participate in the CE Department activities. Highlights: The call time was at 12:00 noon (we are expected to be in the place at 1:00 pm) in front of the Engineering building but the group in Alex’s car arrived at Amoranto Stadium at 3:00 pm since something went wrong with the car’s engine. Alex bought a new car battery, however, later we found out that the hurdle was a lot simpler. Lequi was on a “career mode” the whole night, packing soy/ chili sauce for the siomai’s where he was assigned. Astig! Unlimited and free coffee the entire evening. Ohhlala… Jeff with the others experienced escorting “artistas”. Daisy Reyes… Oh well?! Welsley found a piece of wood, now in Greg’s apartment where everybody gets to sign his/her name on it. Sharlene and Cabel went running around the stadium right after the event. (Mike gone broken hearted.) Ouch! Children (or should I call fans) went crazy for Ron and Ericson. Jeff officially gave the title GM (Gay Magnet) to Ericson. Nice! Class had a snack at Jollibee-Lacson at 3:00 in the morning. Galeng. Dota mode after and until 7 in the morning. (the next day was CYA reunion in Makati) Sakit sa ulo!
