Find Local Area Support Groups Here
Some numbers may be out-dated or the groups may no
longer
exist in some cases. If so, please contact me so the
information can be updated. As you can see here, there
are way too many groups for me alone to keep up to date
on! Thanks for helping!
Some groups list themselves by the
area they are in while others are listed by the group name. I have tried
to list the area they are in if it is not obvious.
***Special note for Detroit area folks:
Area code changes....
if the number you try is not right it is because of the
area codes being changed again! Try a different area
code. Detroit proper is trying to retain only the 313
prefix. I recently heard that two additional area codes
are going to be released in addition to the '734' added
last year.

SHARE
Battle Creek/Co-op
SHARE is a Christian based homeschool co-operative, where we
meet once a week (every Tuesday). The location is Calvary
Baptist Church on M66/Capital Avenue. It starts every fall
the first Tuesday after Labor Day weekend, and goes through
the end of May. We start at 9 am and have classes through
4:30. You can enroll for one class or as many as you wish
for your children. Because this is a co-op, you must volunteer
at least 2 hrs of your time during the day. There are various
positions to fill. All classes are free, except for those where
a nonparticipant of SHARE is brought in to teach the class. We
have a few of those. We have competitive sports, a performing
vocal group under the teaching of a local lady who teaches the
Battle Creek Children's Choir (Voices from Home), Choir, drama,
yearbook, cheerleading, many accredited high school courses, and
much more. We have something from nursery to senior high.
