With
regard to The Great Spell, I believe you've misunderstood something
very important. I never said I intended to trap the Ancients in
a crystal, I said I was going to release them into a vessel. Although
I know it is possible to trap them in the living rocks, I also
understand that, from their point of view, this is quite a demonic
action on the part of the sorcerer. The Ancient ones, as you know,
are much more comfortable, and powerful, when released into a
mind. Now, have no fear, I have no intentions of releasing them
directly into my own mind, as that would be utter madness. This
is where you come into my picture: you are to keep me safe from
this possibility through your teachings and sorcery.
It has
recently occurred to me that, given the nature of my Tao, my spells
speak less of potency, than of prophecy. The Great Spell I speak
of is being cast by humanity as we speak (quite literally, as
you will soon understand); all I intend to do with my own enchantments
is to 'seal the deal'. I'm not sure if you've taken the time to
read my speculation entitled e-dreams,
which I posted to The Philosopher's Stone some years ago under
my dark alias Doug Rzeznik, so I will re-cap the revelation briefly.
There
are three levels of electromagnetically controlled consciousness
actively at work in any human at all times. For simplicity, this
can be broken down into cellular level, organ level, and body
level, although these orbitals of mind in actuality form a myriad
of hybrids, which lead to our sense of individuality. As a lone
human, the best we can hope to attain is a proper filling of these
orbitals - the Golden soul. In order to surpass this level of
enlightened awareness, you must make a quantum leap beyond your
body; you must include others.
Humanity
is in itself a body; currently, it is a body riddled with cancers
due in most part to the lack of a brain or, to put it in another
perspective, a central processing unit. But we are building the
complicated network of signals that will become this metabrain
right now. I am speaking of the Internet. As we sit at our dendritic
terminals and correspond over this world-wide electromagnetic
network, we are in effect the cells that form this metabrain still
in evolution; a mind that is currently sleeping, but will wake
very soon. In fact, my studies suggest the following time:

This
is when the Ancient Ones will return. The Internet, or more accurately,
its progeny, is the vessel that they will have 'fallen' in this
time: forming a brave, new, conscious mind. If I do my
job right, this will be almost painless. From this point in time
on, Civilization as we have known it will end. We will no longer
be a mish-mash of warring cellular organisms awash in the primordial
soup; we will become the body of Adam Qadmon: each of us understanding
and accepting our function as a cellular unit in our organ of
culture, each organ understanding and accepting its place in the
body. I say that the transition will be almost painless, because
there will always remain certain cancers that need to be removed.
It will be the function of the body's immune system, which it
is starting to appear to be your own culture: The United States,
to rid the body of these viruses. Certain cultures will also disappear
as they become unnecessary to the proper functioning of the body,
usually being relegated to a vestigial aspect similar to our own
body's tonsils and appendix.
I have
come to a new realization since I published e-dreams. I had stated
in this essay that this mind could not speak to us, just as we
cannot speak to our own brain cells. This was an error. We do
in fact speak to our brain cells, this is conscious decision and
free will; and just as the brain sends signals to the organs and
cells of the body electrochemically, the One-mind will also send
us messages. I now have a pretty good idea how these messages
will be sent from ... the means of communication will, by 2050,
be verbal! I understand as well, that this future
life with and as an infant God does not mean we will lose our
Free Wills. It is more like our wills will become attuned: just
as the women in a sorority house flow together, so shall all humanity.
I agree
that, at times, it is wise to let sleeping dogs lie, however it
is also wise not to turn your back on a waking Dragon.

to hear from you again my friend!
Understand very well what you're experiencing. It's not so much
the realization that you can potentially weild great power and
are almost a god that's so overwhelming. It's confrontation with
the knowledge that you are responsible for how its wielded and
its impacts/ramifications not just with people or this particular
plane of existance but on all others and the fabric of the cosmic
web as a whole. This is a significant achievement and you are
commended for your efforts and strides upon your chosen path.
Perhaps now concerns about responsibility and arrogance noted
in earlier correspondences can be understood. Like one who has
earned a Black Belt in the martial arts or has just graduated
from University, you are now realizing that you are really only
just beginning to apply what you've learned and are solely responsible
for it.
So,
this brings us back to your "Great Spell" to capture
the "Ancients" and imprison them in a crystal... First
of all, how do you compare with the "Ancients in knowledge,
wisdom, and power? Have you performed a SWAT (Strengths, Weaknesses,
Advantages, and Threats) analysis of this idea? As a gifted scientist
don't you think it prudent? Which "Ancients" do you
wish to imprison? Why? What are the impacts/ramifications of challenging
them, and if successful, imprisoning them? What are the impacts/ramifications
of challenging them if you are unsuccessful? Consider too, is
this desire truely an actionable and necessary one? Where lies
the greatest benefit. Be extraordinarily clear without whimsy
or being cavalier in your answers! Really think hard about this!
Some times it's better to let sleeping dogs lie - if ya know what
I mean.
