(I plan on sending this newsletter out whenever new material is posted or there are new site developments, to a limit of no more than once every two weeks. It has been assumed that you would be interested in this newsletter, either through contact you initiated with the site, my own personal acquaintance, or someone else who has forwarded it to you. If you are not interested in receiving further issues, just reply and let me know; let me know why only if you want to. If you would rather just receive a simple link to this page instead of the full download due to a slow phone line connection, I can accomodate that too.)

Well... I'm done.

The project that I began nearly 18 months ago is complete. My Grimoire and Tree of Life were intended as a series of magical spells to accelerate my Soul's development on it's Journey of Enlightenment. It seems to have been quite successful, as I now can say that I understand the true nature of reality to the extent that my limited brain will allow. I can never see the entire answer all at once or communicate it without resorting to tautologies. This is not due to the limitations of my mind, but is a necessary fact of reality. It is like we are all blindfolded and feeling around an elephant. The person grabbing the tail thinks it is a serpent, the person grabbing one of the legs thinks it's a tree, the one touching his side thinks it's a wall. As what we feel with our hands is the extent of our experience of the elephant, we cannot possibly fathom where everyone else came up with their completely absurd ideas as to the true nature of the beast. So it is with reality. Enlightenment is not about seeing the elephant all at once, it's the realization that the Truth is something bigger than you can ever understand on your own. The best you can do is listen to what everyone has to say with the knowledge that whatever it is they think, they are correct, at least to a certain extent. I guess, having completed this stage of my own personal quest, the best advice I have to give to others in search of the Truth is... believe everything you hear.

As I was putting the finishing touches on my last spell, I was also reading a book entitled 'Theories of Everything' by John D. Barrow. (Just so you know, I don't recommend this book to anyone unless they are OK with a wordy and dry (but very thorough) presentation of the current state of scientific knowledge.) In the beginning it made me angry enough to get a headache. The belief, held by many physicists, that a quantum theory of gravity would explain everything in the universe made my blood boil. (Then he went on to mention how he, and other reputable scientists, have to put up with the 'eccentrics' who send him their 'Theories of Everything' all the time. You know, that's something I'd considered doing at one time. OK, I'm eccentric, so was Einstein.) Thankfully, in the second half of the book, he delved much deeper into the question of consciousness and the current philosophies regarding it, ultimately concluding on the final page:

"No non-poetic account of reality can be complete."

Aaaaaah..... sweet vindication, for this is exactly why I presented my Theory of Everything,
The Tree of Life, the way I did. Although intended as contemplative tool mostly for myself, I present it on the Interent for anyone else it resonates with.

Simon.
