After reading Ned Hogan, Jr.'s post on clones in the garden, one of the ideas I've been mulling over became a little more clear and I've decided to share it at this time. This is just what I had hoped would come of this site! If you've read my post Time and Energy, you'll understand (ok, I'm not sure if I even understand it, but at least you know what I'm talking about) my belief that all reality is made of orbitals of consciousness. That there exists an atomic self (1S), a molecular/cellular self (2S), a multicellular/ personal self (3S), a multipersonal/cultural/archetypal self (4S), etc. Furthermore, I believe these selves behave in a similar manner to the elements for the simple reason that the orbitals fill in a manner similar to, if not exactly like, the periodic table due the systems sharing the same mathematical constraints. Now, many of you may know that the most stable element on the periodic table is iron. All lighter elements undergo fusion reactions to one extent or another. All heavier elements undergo fission. Eventually, as the universe continues to expand, in something like 10^60 years, there will be no other elements left other than iron (and black holes, of course). Iron seems to be some sort of ultimate destination for the elements. It is also my contention that the human soul is, 'in reality' (language becomes very difficult when discussing these matters) the filling of the 3D orbitals of consciousness. Iron, our most stable element, has 6 of the 10 potential 3D energy levels filled. Given the known history of our species, this is roughly where I would say humanity (or at least some of it) is. So what does this mean? Well, assuming my theory is correct, a consequence (absolutely unprovable, speaking as a scientist) is that all consciousness is heading toward the same sense of self that the best of humanity already enjoys - our indestructible, unchanging Iron Soul. I find this similar to when the Buddha said that every rock, flower, animal, whatever, has a Buddha nature hidden inside. The 'forging' of iron in the fusion-furnace heart of our sun tells the story of the evolution of our souls. Now, the clarity
that Mr. Hogan's thoughtful submission brought to this issue was this
I believe that this is similar to what Mr. Hogan described in his interpretation of Genesis. This would also explain an idea found in virtually all mythologies: the jealousy of the angels. The Cherubim (4S), Seraphim (5S), and Archangels (6S) as well as imps, demons, and Satan all must understand that we already possess something that they all have to work for: our soul. The forces of good simply understand that this will come in time for them, and they try to make our time here better, as we will be 'masters of the house' by the time they get here. Satan and the demons are consumed with jealousy over the situation and so constantly try make our lives here miserable. This raises an interesting question: could it be that some human souls currently on earth have come here by route of descent? Would these people choose to be our spiritual (angelic: Ghandi) or fascist (demonic: Hitler) leaders? Or would they lead a more secluded (Buddha or Timothy McViegh) life. One way or another, in the end there will be only Us (iron) and God (black holes... I'll explain this idea another time).
