Article I. Name. Affiliation and Purpose
Section 1 - The name of this organization shall be the College Democrats of Utah, hereinafter the CDU.
Section 2 - The CDU shall be affiliated with the Utah State Democratic Committee (USDC) as a division of the Young Democrats of Utah (YDU), and shall affiliate with the College Democrats of America (CDA).
Section 3 - The CDU, pledges itself to support the philosophy of the Democratic Party. Furthermore, the CDU declares its intention to support efforts to increase the participation of college students in Democratic Party affairs. To these ends, the CDU shall educate and train its members so that they may be better able to:
3.1. Educate students about the philosophy of the Democratic Party;
3.2. Work with Democrats across the state to achieve the goals of the CDU and the Democratic Party of Utah. |
