Article III. Organizational Structure
Section 1 - The CDU shall act as a liaison between the national College Democrats of America and the college charters (hereinafter, chapters) in Utah. All college campus' using this organizational title must charter with CDU.
Section 2 – Chapter Affiliations
2.1 The CDU shall establish and charter affiliate local chapters within appropriate geopolitical confines. The CDU Executive Board reserves the right to restrict collegiate
affiliations to one (1) chapter per campus.
2.2 Upon the receipt and review of the Charter Petition Requirements as listed in the Bylaws, charters shall be granted by a three-fifths (3/5) majority vote of the seated
CDU Executive Board or by a three-fifths (3/5) majority vote of the CDU State Convention assembled.
2.3 Each affiliated local chapter shall abide by the Charter Regulations contained in the Bylaws and in the Charter issued by the CDU.
2.4 Any affiliated chapter which fails to abide by, any or all of the Charter Regulations shall be subject to disciplinary action leading to and including Charter revocation, by
the CDU Executive Board. |
